Make BackUp

Script for InDesign to make quick backups. Written by Kasyan.

For maximum productivity, make sure to assign a keyboard shortcut to the script.

The script makes a package of the current document in the user’s Documents > My Backups folder (the latter will be created automatically if doesn’t exist yet).

I always run it before beginning an important work. By the way, my real folders are on DropBoxand look a little differently for Mac and Windows:

Also, the script does the following:

• Hides rulers
• Hides guides
• Fits spread in window
• Sets display performance to high quality display
• Turns overprint on
• Sets screen mode to preview
