Turn automatic page numbering on or off

A couple of simple but handy scripts for the batch processor used for preparing a book. We start making our magazine as a separate publication for each article with page numbering set manually usually to either 1 or 2: only recto/verso matters at the moment.
Later, I collect them into a book and from time to time export it to a pdf file to see the current state of the work. At the very end, before making the final PDF to be sent to the print shop, I set the automatic page numbering to all pages except for the first page in the block whose number (in scripting terms page name) is 3.
